The lyrics:
I love your bodywork and
your flashy pop-up lights,
the way you hug the corners,
however fast and tight
she comes in 16 colours,
she'll suck your money dry,
gives shitty mileage but come on lets get inside.
I love your slinky spoilers,
they really speak to me,
state of the art sound system,
leather upholstery
she purrs just like a kitten,
she seems to throb with pride
gives you the feeling you've been taken for a ride
pay no attention to the signs
no stopping anytime
come park that chassis next to mine
I'm on a double yellow line
I love your bodywork and
your flashy pop-up lights,
the way you hug the corners,
however fast and tight
she comes in 16 colours,
she'll suck your money dry,
gives shitty mileage but come on lets get inside.
Pay no attention to the sign
No stopping anytime
Come park that chassis next to mine,
You know
Im on a double yellow line...
ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba bah....
I like to burn some rubber,
I like to feel the steel,
I like to put my foot down,
I like to take the wheel,
She purrs just like a kitten
She'll go that final mile
But if she's rocking dont come knocking for a while
Pay no attention to the sign
No stopping anytime
Come park that chassis next to mine
You know
I'm on a double yellow line.

The original video:
My pitch differs from the actual video because the video shows the band singing about cars rather than girls (as I have said). We thought the lyrics were metaphors used to describe girls but they are really used to describe cars.

This will help me when creating my own music video because I have been able to plan out a narrative and think through the lyrics of a song which is what I will be doing in my task. Seeing how my ideas differ from the artists music video has shown me that I don't need to be so 'basic' with my ideas and I can think outside of the box.
