A magazine advert is used to promote the artist by normally showing a picture of them with the album/single title, the date it will be released and sometimes ratings that people have given it. Depending on the genre of the band they will be placed in certain magazines, for example a poster of One Direction promoting their new album will be inside teen magazines because that's the audience they are targeting. This makes sure that the correct audience will see the advert and buy the music.
Digipak
A digipak is the case that the CD comes in. The purpose of a digi pack is to promote the artist through the use of pictures, on the front cover and on the inside. If your digi pack looks visually pleasing to your target audience then people will be attracted to it.
